Following the prison’s relocation, this project takes the opportunity to regenerate the city, adopting “Cut and Extend” as a strategy to dismantle the old spatial hierarchies of the prison. By weaving together landscape design and architectural interventions, the site is reimagined across different scales—turning once-enclosed spaces into open and walkable areas. Previously divided zones are reconnected through new paths and structures that invite exploration, gathering, and reflection. In this way, the site becomes more than just a memory—it transforms into a living space where the past and present come together in a poetic and collective experience.
